Thank you for your interest in attending a CERT class. This class is now offered by the Santa Clara County Fire Department and is intended for people who live or work within the communities of Campbell, Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno and Saratoga. The benefit to you is that you can attend any of the County Fire CERT classes – you do not have to wait for the CERT class to be delivered in Los Altos. This certainly can be a benefit depending on the location of your work place or other “outside of Los Altos area” activities and in addition, multiple opportunities to attend, giving you more flexibility with your activity scheduling.
In 2017, the CERT training will be conducted in Los Altos in September. For 3 weeks, on Tuesday and Thursday, starting September 12th and going until September 28th with a final exercise and Graduation on Saturday September 30. The class will be held in the Multi-purpose room at Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave Los altos. Class begins at 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. The final exercise drill and Graduation will start at 8:30 A.M. Additional class information, other dates and locations, and sign-up instructions can be found on the County Fire web site at http://www.sccfd.org/community-education/emergency-preparedness then click on the “Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)” item on that page.
